Event livestream planned

In the last few weeks we’ve been in touch with this year’s finalists to invite them to the Disability Power 100 event. At the event the UK’s 100 most influential disabled people will be announced and celebrated. Presented by the charismatic Fats Timbo, with entertainment from Signkid and Kelli Blanchett, the event promises to be a purple-carpet night of glamour and celebration.

However, we know more people will want to attend than we can safely accommodate, so we’ve been working on getting the livestream right. This year, to ensure it is as accessible as possible we’ve undertaken user testing and research on the best hybrid event systems. This has been supported by users that operate screen readers, keyboard only and joystick technologies from Shaw Trust’s own Accessibility Services.

If you’d like to sign up for the livestream, which will be broadcast on Zoom and YouTube please get in touch with powerlist@shaw-trust.org.uk.

A limited number of tickets for the physical event will also be available to purchase, contact powerlist@shaw-trust.org.uk. to find out more.
