I am originally from Kenyan, I moved to Harlow in 2000 and after o had my child I embarked on my sporting career. I had intended todo my second degree in Education (special needs but I never took up my space in Cambridge University because I was busy caring for my new born son, which had it’s own challenges as a disabled first time mum..
I love Harlow and I am proud to call it home. My Paralympic career started here – on the old running track that used to be new Sainsbury’s. I feel having the opportunity to put Harlow on the world part as the first Wheelchair Racer Paralympian is an honour. As a black, disabled woman, Harlow has embraced my difference and I love to give back to this community.
