Having worked across a number of sectors in both national and international accessibility roles, it was a great privilege, as well as significant challenge, to bring my expertise into the technology space when I joined Lloyds Banking Group as their Senior Product Manager for Accessibility. Here, I oversaw inclusive design and technology for over 50,000 colleagues across the group, to ensure that provision was not only equitable for all colleagues, but went above and beyond, creating ‘powerful’ colleague experiences. I have worked with the World’s largest technology companies, with my inclusive insights shaping and creating the roadmap of accessibility features on essential products most people across the world will use day-to-day. It was an opportunity to create and shape standards, to lead in a centre of Excellence, advocating for inclusion, and to upskill thousands of colleagues in digital accessibility. I have had the privilege to lead on the provision of compelling inclusive financial services for the Group’s 26 million+ customers. I have been a keynote speaker at some of the largest fintech conferences in the world, helped launch Lloyd’s partnership with the 10,000 disabled interns programme, and have advocated at the House of Lords for disability financial inclusion. My impactful presentations, delivered in front of Senior C-Suite Executives and Government Ministers, have earned praise as ‘Mic-Drop’ moments.
I have a strong music and social media influence with 100,000 combined followers and 10million+ views, with content centred around disability and musicianship, featuring me playing drums and bass guitar. I have served as the House Band drummer and bass player on Channel 4’s ‘The Last Leg’, and was recognized as a Disabled Musicians Award Winner from Daniel’s Music Foundation, playing a sold-out show in a prestigous New York venue, and played a key part in partnering with Sony to set up the World’s first all-disabled artists record label.
Following the loss of my mum in March 2023, I became an advocate for Dementia Care, challenging and advising various NHS boards.
I independently consult and shape inclusion in the digital product space, regularly presenting nationally, and being published in academic and professional journals.
